£220,000 Investment Increases Capability
Posted on April 09 2024Stadium Export Services has invested over £220,000 in a new CNC machining centre and woodworking machinery that will significantly expand its case manufacturing capability.
The Format 4 Profit H80I CNC machine and vacuum panel lifter will allow Stadium to manufacture highly complex, bespoke packaging and storage solutions for a wide range of applications.
The £150,000 state-of-the-art machining centre integrates panel cutting, milling and drilling into a seamless, fully automated process to offer the highest level of consistency, precision and efficiency to customers.
The machine was commissioned to fulfil a major contract to manufacture bespoke packaging for a military customer. As the only approved defence packaging company in the North East with an MPAS (Military Packager Accreditation Scheme) certification, Stadium can collaborate with businesses in the naval industry to provide packaging solutions on behalf of the Ministry of Defence.
Alongside the CNC machining centre investment, Stadium has invested a further £70,000 to replace several woodworking machines within the facility. New band saws, bench saws and panel saws have also been commissioned.
CEO, Brian Smith, said: ‘We will continue to invest in plant and machinery when required to ensure we remain competitive and capable of providing a wide range of quality packaging solutions across numerous market sectors.
“As well as the equipment investment, we have completed a series of safety training programmes for the entire workforce and refurbished our offices, canteen and welfare facilities to ensure Stadium remains a great place to work.”
